Re: Running Octave 3.0.3 on AIX 5.3

After further investigation, I see that in a Linux build that I have that does NOT get these warning messages, the contents of the directory: libexec/octave/3.0.3/oct/x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu contains PKG_ADD and all these *.oct files.

In the comparable AIX build, the directory libexec/octave/3.0.3/oct/powerpc-ibm-aix5.3.0.0 only has the PKG_ADD file. Any reason why the *.oct files would not have been put there?

Thanks,
Mike

Yes, I ran make install.

To run octave I'm just going to the bin directory and running ./octave.

How are you starting Octave? After compiling, did you finish the
installation with "make install"?
