Subject: | Matlab compatibility for university Numerical Analysis course |

I am taking a numerical analysis course at my university. We have been recommended to use Matlab. Is Octave considered a viable alternative for a university course? I understand that Octave is _mostly_ Matlab compatible but I am not familiar enough with either Matlab or Octave to make an informed decision. -- Dotan Cohen http://what-is-what.com http://gibberish.co.il א-ב-ג-ד-ה-ו-ז-ח-ט-י-ך-כ-ל-ם-מ-ן-נ-ס-ע-ף-פ-ץ-צ-ק-ר-ש-ת ä-ö-ü-ß-Ä-Ö-Ü
