Octave 3.0.3 install CentOS 5.2 Linux x86_84

Hi,

I am trying to compile Octave 3.0.3 for CentOS 5.2 Linux x86_84. I have 
installed all the requisite rpms. Namely:
fftw-3.1.2-3.el5.kb.i386.rpm
fftw-3.1.2-3.el5.kb.x86_64.rpm
glpk-4.15-1.el5.kb.i386.rpm
glpk-4.15-1.el5.kb.x86_64.rpm
hdf-4.2r2-2.el5.kb.i386.rpm
hdf-4.2r2-2.el5.kb.x86_64.rpm
hdf5-1.6.5-7.el5.kb.i386.rpm
hdf5-1.6.5-7.el5.kb.x86_64.rpm
qhull-2003.1-8.el5.kb.i386.rpm
qhull-2003.1-8.el5.kb.x86_64.rpm
suitesparse-3.0.0-2.el5.kb.i386.rpm
suitesparse-3.0.0-2.el5.kb.x86_64.rpm
ufsparse-2.1.1-1.el5.kb.i386.rpm
ufsparse-2.1.1-1.el5.kb.x86_64.rpm

However, configure is still not picking up any of the libraries except for blas 
and lapack, which exist both in /usr/lib and /usr/lib64. The rest of the 
libraries only exist in /usr/lib64

Could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?
