Problems with FTGL building octave-3.1.51

Hi,
I'm trying to compile octave-3.1.51 version in my Debian GNU/Linux installation and I have a warning message in the ./configure process. The message is as follows:

FTGL headers not found...

I have installed FTGL headers in the standard directory /usr/include/FTGL. The base header is ftgl.h instead FTGL.h but I suppose that the lines 665 an 666 of the configure.in file

      AC_CHECK_HEADERS([FTGL/ftgl.h ftgl.h], break, [
    AC_CHECK_HEADERS([FTGL/FTGL.h FTGL.h], [

checks if ftgl.h is in lower or upper-case and decide the correct #include.

Anyone has the same problem.
