Thanks for the help Bill McBrideYou'll need to install gnuplot.app.Usually gnuplot will be installed along with Octave. Thus, it is likely you already have gnuplot installed, but Octave doesn't see it. How did you install Octave?BenBen,I down loaded a copy from the octave site and then followed the directions. I didn't make ant changes to the config file, however. On May 31, 2008, at 4:39 PM, Ben Abbott wrote:
By "Octave site" do you refer to http://octave.sourceforge.net/ ?If so you should have the app built by Thomas Treichl which also include gnuplot. In the octave.app.dmg is an "Extras" folder. In that folder you will find "gnuplot-4.2.3-i386.dmg" (assuming you have an Intel based Mac).
Please refer to "Do I have to install Gnuplot.app from the Extras directory?" in the "Readme.html" file which you'll find in octave.app.dmg.
Thomas has included a lot of good info in that Readme file. I encourage you to browse through it.
