That document is way out of date (more than seven years, it appears).
Many things have changed since it was written. Unfortunately, we
can't seem to make it go away.
The "matcompat" package evolved into Octave Forge. An updated list of
available functions is here:
http://www.denney.ws/octave
Maybe we could get those summaries on the Octave Forge site?
