This is asked a lot in the forum, but i can't find a suitable answer for me.
I just installed octave 3.x on my ubuntu 7.x box via the standard ubuntu
package manager program, and when I type help -i the output is:
info: /usr/share/info/octave2.1.info: No such file or directory
indeed, there is no such file "octave2.1.info" anywhere on my computer,
though the directory "/usr/share/info" does exist. Could someone please
point me to where I get the octave2.1.info file? Is it a separate download?
I would think this would come with the standard install...
thanks in advance
