Thanks. Easy to upgrade and working well.
ON 1.42 GHz PPC G4
octave-2.9.14:9> octave2
Total time for all 15 tests_________________________ (sec): 16.98
Overall mean (sum of I, II and III trimmed means/3)_ (sec): 0.7528
                      --- End of test ---
 
Nothing else running as tic/toc rather than cputime is being used in test.
