Keyboard input while a plot is visible

Dear Octavers,

Sometimes, when a plot in Octplot is visible it would be nice to use direct key 
presses to change something in the plot. However, I found that key presses are 
only possible if I go back to my console window which sends the plot into the 
background.
I asked myself if there is a way to have the plot permanently visible and at 
the same time accept key presses.

I would appreciate any hints and suggestions.
I am using the recently published Windows Version of Octave.
