Is it possible to install two versions of octave at the
same time on Windows?
I have the binary
octave-2.1.50a-inst.exe
installed on my Win98
It has a lot of the old gnuplot functions built into a lot
of programs that I'm reluctant to abandon.
I just downloaded octave-2.9.12-3-setup.exe ready to
install. Do I need to extend the memory like I did for
2.1.50a to handle 20MB files and matrices?
I'd like to be able to use either one, simply by selecting
which one I want to run. Or, maybe run both at the same
time. Is it possible to do that?
Same question for WinXP, (which I'm forced to use right
now). Can I set up both to run?
Also, just a thought. Has anyone benchmarked performance
of the old 2.1.50a against new versions, like 2.9.12??
Almost all of my programs are 'marginal' hate to see them
slow down more.
Robert
