problem installing octave-forge

hello,

 

I've just installed octave-2.1.73 on my solaris 10 (intel) from the source with success.

I am trying now to install octave-forge-2006.03.17 library frombut i have a lot of problem when I compile the src.

 

So i have got some questions:

 

I just want tu use some fuctions like fzero ....

For that, do I need to install qhull, ginac, gsl etc .... ???

 

do you know, if fzero is really better than fsolve ?
