Use gnuplot 4.0 with octave 2.1.73

Hello,

I have octave 2.1.73 and gnuplot 4.0 installed on my cygwin. I would 
like to use this gnuplot version with octave because it allows to zome 
and put markers by using mouse clicks directly on the figure. When I 
plot a curve from octave it opens  on a new  window which does not allow 
to do mouse zooming and cursor marking!

Any one has a solution to this problem?
