Hi,
FWIW, I've had no trouble with octave building through Fink in the
past two years to present. (Last rebuild, not but a few nights ago.)
configuration: dual G4, OS X 10.4.5 (and 10.3.x in the past),
dist-tree: 10.4-transitional (compiled with Apple's gcc-3.3)
fink --version: package manager: 0.24.14, distribution: 0.8.0.cvs
[Fangs-Mac:~] fang% /sw/bin/octave
GNU Octave, version 2.1.72 (powerpc-apple-darwin).
Copyright (C) 2005 John W. Eaton.
If you have problems with Fink's build, shoot an email to one of the
lists.
