Hi David,
Sorry i meant a\b'. I am using Octave 2.1.72 on Fedora Core 3, installed from source.
Could it be that the FPU is disabled by the kernel ? (i am not very familiar with kernel operation) - i will recompile it to see if there is an option to enable/disable FPU support.
