multiple instances of octave

hi,


how can i run multiple instances of octave. i have a function that i 
would like to
start in multiple instances (on a cluster) with different input values - 
i.e. if
the function name is f i would like to start instances where octave 
would be
doing f(input1), f(input2), .... how can i do that with a simple script?
