Mex file for octave random number generator

I seem to recall a few months ago that someone sent to the list a C file 
that could be compiled and used in place of Matlab's random number 
generator so that Octave and Matlab would have identical generators 
available (seems like it was David Bateman). I've searched through the 
archives and can't seem to find it. Can anyone point me to this?
