google is your friend. Try, e.g., "octave mex" and results 1
and 3 point you to octave-forge. This is not a complete
implementation of the API, but you should be able to compile
simple mex files.

I have the C source code file from which a MatLab mex
file was compiled. Is it possible to make an ‘oct’
file from this for Octave? The manual says that it
compiles C++, and needs a “wrapper for other
languages.

Your help would be appreciated.
