DLDs

I'd like to write a binary DLD that would add basic
graphics support to octave, like drawing
lines,ellipses, etc...

I've read the archives and seen links to relevant
information. Yet, how to compile DLDs under windows?
But even if you know something about doing this under
Linux I might still avail myself of coLinux.

gplot with the lines style can draw lines nicely as it
is, and one could also draw circles/ellipses/...
parametrically as well as other shapes, but I don't
think the gplot was really ment for "graphics", as it
does not support a raster grid with integer
coordinates (but we have all seen the pretty woman
image on gnuplot's site I guess).
