Hello all,

I got things working again. I completely deleted and purged lam/mpi and mpich, 
reinstalled only lam, and did

ln -s /usr/lib/libmpi++.so /usr/lib/liblam++.so

Then the attached Makefile.env did the job. HTH, Michael
