Installation of OCT files.

Hello there!
Greetings.

I have a few .oct files which I want to install, 
without being ROOT. so I want to put it into the users
HOME directory, and so s/he may use it.

How do I do this ?

I tried 
path=strcat(path,strcat(getenv("HOME"),"//"));

in the .octaverc file. But it didnot work.

Must setenv work?

Please help.
