I think the problem with the warning message is that ATLAS for
Debian system has been hacked:
http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2003/02/msg01739.html
Which, as I understand, changed the error codes returned from cblas.
So people who use original ATLAS (or some other derivatives)
will not get warning messages.
I still do not understand eig() timing...
