Do you mean "octaviz" (http://octaviz.sourceforge.net/)?  I think this 
package is awesome!  Who else is using it besides me?  I've written an 
Gentoo ebuild for it.  It does take a really long time to compile, but 
the 3D graphics are totally worth it.
