I've created two functions, one to generate the Chebyshev polynomials
(with the symbolics library) and one to calculate an approximation
polynomial for a given function. My work is at the link below:
http://wiki.octave.org/wiki.pl?ChebyshevPolynomialApproximation
My question is how much of this is actually already provided by the
standard functions and by the OctaveForge symbolics package? There are
a few cheb* functions, but I didn't really understand what they were doing.
Can somebody check what I've done, and maybe say how I can use the
internal functions to accomplish the same thing? (or if anybody notices
an error, please let me know -- I do actually need to use this function :)
