imagemagick and axes

Hi there,

is there a way to add axes and titles to an image made with imagmagick. 
Specifically, 

colormap(rainbow(1024));
specgram(whatever);

and now? how to get it into an plot-like format to see the frequency range 
etc.
Just hope this works somehow.
