concatenating sparse arrays

Subject: concatenating sparse arrays

I'm having trouble concatenating sparse arrays in Octave. When I try, e.g. [a;b], where a and/or b are sparse, I get "error: octave_base_value::array_value(): wrong type argument `sparse'". Is this a feature or a bug?
