Dmitri,
I have tried the sequence with automatic_replot=0, etc. that Per suggested
(see the attachment to this posting), and got it to work once with one of my
three frame plot sequences. When I tried to broaden it to four frames, I
could only get full frames, no subplots. Some four-frame plots further down
in the routine that didn't have the automatic_replot sequence installed yet,
seemed to be working better, so I removed the automatic_replot sequence in
the first occurrence, but still had full frames, not subplots. It's
difficult to tell what is causing what.
I guess if the rationale behind the automatic_replot=0 sequence were
outlined, I'd feel better, and could better apply it. Where is that posted?
I don't recall seeing it on help-octave. It sounds like something that
should be hidden from the "average" user through the use of
multiplot/clearplot or something similar.
I'll send a separate posting with an example after I look at the code a bit
more. The script in question uses a mixture of tftb routines and
octave-forge, so I may have to create a new "stand-alone" example that isn't
several hundred lines long.
