That's the problem then. Version 2.1.53 doesn't work on intel debian
either:

Yeah, I just found this out. I logged in to another machine and tried
on 2.1.46 and it worked fine. Thanks for the confirmation that it isn't
my personal machine/platform. This make the next action clearer.
