I wish I could say I knew how to use this. Further, my version still 
crashes using cell arrays. I was hoping I could opt out of using them 
altogether, since I don't have any definitions for the variables (they 
are in a balanced realization for which the physical meaning is gone). 
When I call without any labels, it crashes octave.
