You can two options and both work on Panther:


1. use darwinport

octave math/octave 2.1.50 a Matlab-like environment for numerical analysis
[gavin-unix:myWork/ruby/libpcap-ruby] gjin%


2. I also downloaded the latest source code ( 2.1.51) and followed the instructions
on http://homepage.mac.com/chibaf/math/macosx/install/
 without any problem.
