If you need this for some sort of tensor math, then the >= 2.1.51
Octave should be able to create & manipulate N-d matrices.

If all you need is a data structure to store a "list" of matrices,
then a cell array will suffice:

MatrixList = { rand(1), rand(2), rand(3) };

And you can index this list in various ways:

MatrixList{1,1}

MatrixList(1,1)

Explore; cell-arrays are really cool! :-)
