The www.octave.org download page recommends that windows users use
http://sourceforge.net/projects/matlinks. This is the 2.1.36 version.

I would like to recommend to John to change this page to point to the
octave.sourceforge.net for windows builds. This contains newer builds,
and would help us avoid having to answer these type of questions.
