installing octave-forge files in windows?

I have Andy Adler's port to windows, and I would like to add the symbolic math from octaveforge. I have downloaded the octave-forge file, and in it are a zillion files.

1 Do I have to compile some of it?

2 How do you install it in linix?
3 How should I install it in windos?
