java interfaced to octave and octave source code

1. Does anyone know where to find all the octave source code?
2. How can I run octave mfiles from a gui that interfaces with 
command line?
3. Has anyone interfaced octave with visual basic or any other 
program? If yes, provide any information you can. Thanks
