Anyone tried to compile octave with BLAS by Kazushige Goto?

(http://www.cs.utexas.edu/users/flame/goto)

It is distributed as a shared library, but I cannot get
Octave's configure to pick it up.

I always get:

...

checking for sgemm_ in -lgoto_p3_256-r0.6... no

...

(library is in /usr/local/lib

-rw-r--r--    1 root     root       621257 May  5 22:34
/usr/local/lib/libgoto_p3_256-r0.6.so

address@hidden lib]# ldconfig -v | grep goto
        libgoto_p3_256-r0.6.so -> libgoto_p3_256-r0.6.so

)

Allegedly people use this library as a drop-in replacement for MATLAB 6.5, so
I would think it should be sufficient for Octave as well...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Dmitri.
