I'm trying to convert some matlab code. I get an error parsing that:

parse error near line 64 of file /home/me/somefunc.m[end-20 1]):end);

error: `somefunc' undefined near line 2 column 1
error: evaluating index _expression_ near line 2, column 1

Any ideas? Thanks.

Try a newer version of Octave.

I can't tell if that will fix the problem since
you seem to have forgotten details such
as which version of octave you are using,
and how you installed it.  It works for
me on 2.1.44 in Cygwin.
