Can you help me figure out how to solve this?
I have installed octave on Windows 2k and get this when I start Octave from
the menu.
Report bugs to <address@hidden>.
/usr/share/octave/2.1.36/m/strings/findstr.m: No such file or directory
error: `findstr' undefined near line 10 column 12
error: evaluating index expression near line 10, column 12
error: evaluating argument list element number 1
error: evaluating assignment expression near line 10, column 39
error: near line 10 of file `/usr/share/octave/site/m/startup/octaverc'
aparently I am missing a file, but when I go into the specified directory
(/usr/share/octave/2.1.36/m/strings/) , the file (findstr.m) is there. I am
wondering why the file separator / since I am on windows and it should be \.
Is this a problem? .. the directory is under my root installation directory
of octave.
Thanks.
