FEM package for Octave

From: Andreas Stahel
Subject: FEM package for Octave
Date: Tue, 4 Feb 2003 08:38:39 -0600

To whom it may concern:
a new version of the open source package FEMoctave 0.1.5 is available
through
http://ideas.repec.org/s/cod/octave.html

It allows to solve second order elliptic PDE's in two variables
with the help of Octave (an excellent software, similar to Matlab)
The package FEMoctave may be useful for instructional purposes.
It uses linear triangular elements only.

Some sample applications are shown in the documentation.

System requirements: Octave with dynamically linked binaries,
                     preferably on Linux/Unix
it might work on WIN?? systems

With best regards

Andreas

P.S. anybody up to the task to integrate the package into sourceforge?
     Some help would be appreciated.
