compilation error

Hello,

I can't compile octave 2.1.43.  g++ barfs while trying to compile data.cc
in src.  I'm using gcc 2.95.4 on an Intel P3 with Debian Linux 3.0.  Below
is the error (with context information).  Any help would be appreciated.
