I would like to control the style, with which my data are plotted.

In gnuplot I would say:

plot 'bldata' with points lt 2 lw 2 pt 10 ps 3

where 'bldata' is the datafile (in octave it should be a matrix)
        lt is linetype
        lw linewidth
        pt pointtype
        ps pointsize

I must admit, that it eludes me how to do the equvalent from an octave script.
