grid is the user-defined function from the file
/sw/share/octave/2.1.40/m/plot/grid.m

 - Function File: grid (ARG)
For two-dimensional plotting, force the display of a grid on the
plot. The argument may be either `"on"' or `"off"'. If it is
     omitted, `"on"' is assumed.

Hello,

I have some plots from Matlab, but when I issue the command
grid on
on Octave, it gives me an error!

How can I make the grid appear, on any plot?

 Thanks
 frank
