Following code doesn't work

N = 10
str_label=printf("\"N is:\" %d", N); % no prob
gset label str_label at graph 0.05,0.95 left ; % ERROR
% strlabel is not expanded, who can i fix this?
gplot 0 % dispay only the label(s)

The fault is that the variable "str_label" is not expanded. Who can i force octave to put the content of the variable there.
