i dowload octave for window but i can open it.  when i try to open, >i see a flicker of the DOS windows  of octave.

i am using windows professional 2000 and i have not acceses to a DOS =
platform.
can you send me a tips for running the program?

also i have a machine with linux 7 from redhat and in this platform i =
can not open octave i do not if i missing some instruction or if i need =
an additional program to run octave.
i appreciate some sugestions
