Goctave issue

Hii all octave users..

The tarball for goctave stops for some reason at ld
collect 2
 as shown..

collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [goctave] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/sourav/goctave/src'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/sourav/goctave'
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2

this was even after installing gtk+extra utils..i
couldn't solve this problem..as a result couldn't se
goctave at all ..

Can anyone tell me what i should do to get it working
??
 or the rpm for the same would be very appreciated.
