Although I don't know much about CORBA, I think it would probably be
good to have some kind of CORBA interface for Octave.  If you do write
this, I hope you will make it available for others to use.

Unfortunately, there is not much documentation for the internals of
Octave.  You'll have to check out the archives of the mailing lists
and use the source.

If you have specific questions, send them to the mailing list and
someone will probably help.
