Hm, I don't typically apply "stray" patches, so I really think it maight have
been, as Paul suggested, that you installed it from the list. Anyway, glad
you found a version now.
Oh, and Paul's new "matcompat" should be forthcoming for Debian as
octave-matcompat in a few days.
