HELP WITH IMAGES

Dear All,

I am a new user of Octave (using the PC version). The problem that I
have is that:
I have a matrix 3x3 lets say
1 1 1
2 2 2
3 3 3
and I want to represent it as an image. I try various things but didn't
work. Any ideas?
The second thing is how I can represent any kind of image into the
OCTAVE  enviroment.
(For the MATLAB program is image("image-name"), but in OCTAVE that
doesn't work)
