just to (belatedly) follow
this thread up....
we have produced J-Sim,a pure java 'clone'
(i use this term very loosely) of simulink.
it is very basic at present, but it is possible to
bind m-files to simulation blocks and obtain
graphic output.
just in case anyones interested, it can be
downloaded from:

by following the J-Sim links.
