Script files with non-M extension |

When I'm in a shell, I can type
octave scriptfile.non-M
and the contents of the file "scriptfile.non-M" will be executed
by Octave. When I'm using Octave interactively, I can do the same
if the file is called "scriptfile.m" by typing in
scriptfile
Is there any way to execute "scriptfile.non-M" from inside Octave?
Dirk
