HI Stephen,
Thanks for your reply. I will look in the Incoming Directory, to see if
it's there. Meanwhile let me give you this update of my attempts.
I upgraded my libg++-2.7.1.14 and libstdc++-2.7.1.14 respectively,
to libg++-2.7.2 and libstdc++-2.7.2. My system (a PC running LINUX 2.0.29)
has gcc-2.7.2).
I then re-installed the Binaries. But I was still getting a
SEMENTATION FAULT error messages. So I compiled from the source.
It's working now, BUT, there is something wrong:
"help -i" does not work properly. See the output below.
octave:11> help -i fsolve
info: unrecognized option `--index-search'
Usage: info [-d dir-path] [-f info-file] [-o output-file] [-n node-name]...
[--directory dir-path] [--file info-file] [--node node-name]...
[--help] [--output output-file] [--subnodes] [--version]
[--dribble dribble-file] [--restore from-file]
[menu-selection ...]
error: help: unable to find info!
error: evaluating index expression near line 11, column 1
