Octave Gnuplot

Hi!

I don't know if it is a bug or not. I try to set the origin in gnuplot via
octave with a variable like:

a = 0.5
gset origin 0,a

so gnuplot tells me that it doesn't know the variable a ("undefined variable
: a")

if I write

gset origin 0,0.5 so everything is ok.

Does anybody knows how I can hand over octave-variables to gnuplot ?

I am using Octave 2.0.1 (alpha-dec-osf3.2)
